Transition – Transformation

Historic urban artefacts are a living example of a citie‘s past. They depict the transition from history to present to future. These artefacts are part of an every-days-city image. They are buildings and places, which may have had their time, which may have changed their function. But they are still part of a city fabric.

This collectes intends to show the importance of these artifacts as a living part of a modern city. Every city needs to keep some of its traces from the past. The best and warmest compliment to such an artifact is, to use it.

This exhibition was initiated and was made possible by the Goethe Institute Kigali.
